From a young age, Kerry led quite an active lifestyle, playing numerous sports, dancing competitively and participating in as many outdoor activities as she possibly could. This initially led her to a career in Outdoor Education. After many rewarding years teaching children and adults how to appreciate nature, their environment and to “play” outside at an incredible Outdoor Centre, she decided it was time for a change.
In 2011 she packed up and moved to Toronto to pursue a new career in the fitness industry. She began her new journey as a personal trainer and fitness coach before landing at 889; a Yoga, Pilates, and Wellness studio. She quickly became enthralled with the wondrous practice of Pilates and what an important role it plays in maintaining a healthy and balanced body. Over the past few years of practicing and teaching, Kerry has experienced first hand how effective Pilates can be at transforming the body’s shape and structure while establishing a powerful mind/body connection.
It was at 889 that Kerry was also reintroduced to Essential Oils. Growing up, Kerry had often used essential oils with her mom as remedies for different ailments and sicknesses. Much like her mom, Kerry has always been a firm believer in healing the body and mind the most natural way possible. She believes that having spent numerous hours as a child exploring the great outdoors gave her this true appreciation of nature and what it can provide us. With essential oils, you are basically capturing the power of plants/flowers/roots/seeds in a bottle. You can't go much more natural than that!
